I think just about everyone in my age group watched Super Friends on the telly when we were children. If you watch the cartoon today, it seems ultra cheesy and outdated, with really cheap animation to boot. But back then in the 1970s, it was the bomb when it came to watching all our favorite DC superheroes at one go.
Recently, Goy bought this Super Friends set for me when we spotted at a toy shop in Queenstown Shopping Center. As a set of 4, it cost about S$100, which made it a pretty good deal, especially since each figurine was crafted lovingly in primary colors and the retro look of the cartoon characters. Forget all the angst we see in the comics today – these are my Super Friends as I best remember them: wholesome, happy, and friendly!
