Ninja Gaiden I and II are two of my all-time favorite games on the Xbox 360. Incredible martial arts action and trigger happy heart attack combos! You can imagine my thrill when I was browsing at a toy shop at Plaza Singapura and saw this gorgeous Ryu Hayabusa toy figurine from Neca Online.

Comes with

  • 32 points of articulation
  • Dragon Sword
  • A pair of gigantic tonfas
  • Three throwing daggers that you can slot into his left thigh

I did a quick photoshoot at home. Used my trusty EOS 5D, 100mm f2.8 macro prime lens, ISO 500, f4, various shutter speeds. And I bounced the flash – I actually wanted to take it offshoe to get more dramatic lighting effects…but my wireless IR transmitter ran out of battery and NTUC Fairprice didn’t sell that type of battery. Oh well, maybe next time.

And here’s what Ryu looks like in the NG2 game:

  1. You can’t really do the same bokeh on the LX3 because the image sensor is too small. Nothing comes close to dSLRs for this kinda shots.
