Why I can’t blog about work

As you can see, I’ve password-protected the last post on the clueless public relations girl I encountered yesterday.

The reason is that although it’s not exactly about what goes on in my office, there are people who won’t get the message and attribute it to the usual “journalistic arrogance”.

Well, as Isaac likes to say: “Too bad!”

As long as there are [....]

It’s another EOS, another seminar!

Yo everyone, there’s a new EOS in town and it’s the EOS 400D – aka the camera Edwin Lee should just buy and stop procrastinating about.

By now, people should know I’m a diehard supporter of Canon gear. That’s why I don’t hesitate to do sponsored series or conduct photography workshops with them.

Oh yah, please check out those links people! [....]

Should the wife stay at home?

Guys: A word of advice. Marry pretty women or ugly ones. Short ones or tall ones. Blondes or brunettes. Just, whatever you do, don’t marry a woman with a career.

It’s an issue that probably won’t plague many Singaporeans. Like my mother said: “Must always have dual-income!” But our family has decided to go 1960s and go solo-income instead. We’ll [....]

The Death Of Print Beckons

All media will soon be on-demand, especially and painfully obviously in the technology space, and multimedia digital content will be king. But it’s a must-see for anyone with a funny bone!!!

Synopsis : Jack is a renegade ex-astronaut who becomes [....]

Windows Live Writer!

The big fat cow jumps over the bloated yellow moon.

I’m currently listening to Fly by Sugar Ray while I test out this new blogging software that works with not just MS Spaces, but Livejournal, Blogspot and WordPress too!

Check out the software here.

So far, the only issues I have with it is its inability to align pix to the [....]

Why we can’t sell

Singaporeans were largely descended from coolies and merchants. And given the latter, I’m not sure why we’re so bad at selling our ideas and making them into blockbuster products.

You could blame the humidity, which addles the mind and slows the body. Or the education system, where systematic behaviour produces the best returns. Or sometimes, plain stupidity.

But here’s our biggest [....]

Oh Mammon

It was another of those days in the TNP Art Dept when the guys were expounding on the meaning of life. Of course, there were nothing but the usual sordid answers.

Then the song “Don’t blame it on that girl” came on the radio and I said, “Wah, Matt Bianco.”

The guys sniggered. “Wah, that’s an indication of what kind of [....]
