New pictures of the kids with my new Zuiko 25mm f2.8 lens (50mm equivalent on normal film cameras) on the Olympus E-P1 Pen camera. I’ve been waiting to buy this Four-Thirds lens for my Pen because while the kit 17mm is a great lens, it’s a 35mm lens equivalent and I don’t like to have any distorted images of the kids.

Wow! The E-P1 really manages to take in a lot of available natural lighting. Some of those shots where there’s a lot of shadowing and darker contrast would hobble most other cameras that lack a flash or are crammed with a smaller sensor (read: 95 percent of the “prosumer / consumer market”.
Hopefully when I manage to save up enough for this camera, Oly will manage to augment their available lens selection. It’d be a shame to have all this potential in their camera squandered by their inability to devise quality AFFORDABLE lens solutions.
BTW, I just stumbled across your blog while doing a bit of Google research work and I must say I am impressed by your veritable wealth of knowledge on everything photography. I’m no photo expert by any means (hell, half the time I can’t even manage to compose a decent shot), but I do know a great camera when I see one reviewed as well as you have done here. I’ll definitely keep an eye on this blog in the near future!

You should post some shots of darker environments or ones where a flash might be required — just so I can see how well the E-P1’s sensor can truly deal with very little light at a reasonable ISO setting.
the power of prime lens!
I attempted a subscription for your rss feed, but had problems adding it to google reader. Could you please look at this.
