Errr, only if someone passes me a review set! I no longer do tech journalism, so any review I do would be of my own gear :D

Would you do a review on the Fujifilm F200EXR anytime soon?

Hey Ian, how was Taiwan? I hope you had fun and took lots of nice pictures! The camera's been a blast, and it's one of the best bits of gear I've owned. While it's no SLR, it takes some brilliant shots (fluke), and I'll credit them to creative photography skills (I have none whatsoever!).

Panny = $690, Leica = $1,250! I checked on forums, and even the Leica folks say there is no difference in either, except for the processor. Not even the lens! I spoke to a guy from Cathay Photo, and he said a customer had to compare photos side by side to justify buying the Leica instead. Oh well. And Leica has a retro leather case which LX3 owners apparently like to purchase. It costs $199. For me, that's a new compact camera!

Looking forward to seeing your photos!

Hi David, the case is made by Panasonic as well, it's pretty standard and comes bundled with the camera (not sure if it's available at all retail shops). Perhaps Sitex will be a good time to go buy it, it's the next weekend.

Thanks for your review! I really want this camera, but am going to wait for the price to drop some more. I really like that retro case you got for it. I tried looking for it on the MS Color website with no luck.
Who is the maker of it and how much was it? Can you post another picture of it too please.
Cheers!

Hey Gary, glad you're enjoying the camera, I'll be uploading my Taiwan pix taken with the LX3 soon. However, the only thing you'll learn with this camera's manual function is exposure correction - the small lens will not provide much learnings with depth of field. So bad news, you'll still have to get an SLR to learn true manual photography!

Leica D-Lux? Well, I dunno, didn't come across it and it's probably a lot more expensive for the same components. Unlike many people out there, I have zero infatuation with Leica cameras - these days, it's just a name.

This camera rocks! Finally, I can experiment manual photo-taking with a compact-sized camera.

I have to ask though - any reason why you didn't get the Leica D-Lux 4 instead?
